Starting on Friday February 27, 2026, work on the South Main Street retaining wall (pedestrian bridge) site will begin. We expect this project to last into the early summer months. Traffic in the area(s) of Mill Street, South Main Street, and Wolcott Street (VT Routes 14 &15) will be controlled with alternating traffic lights and traffic will be reduced to one lane. Please be patient as the construction company works to get this equipment in place and operational. There will be traffic delays. Motorists should seek alternative routes if possible in an effort to reduce congestion. This project is important and necessary and the community’s cooperation will help it run smoothly.
