The Town of Hardwick offers many services for the community and surrounding towns.


Hardwick Area Community Justice Center

The mission of the Hardwick Area Community Justice Center is to provide a forum for peaceful conflict resolution. Citizens who participate in HACJC programs are empowered to maintain community wellbeing by means of restorative justice principles and practices.


Hardwick Electrical Department

The Town of Hardwick Electric Department is a small municipal utility that is governed by a five member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Town Select Board. Hardwick Electric Department’s service area extends into parts of eleven towns: Hardwick, Greensboro, Craftsbury, Woodbury, Wolcott, East Calais, Elmore, Hyde Park, Eden, Stannard and Walden. It services approximately 4,300 electric customers encompassing 300 miles of power lines.


Hardwick Emergency Rescue Squad

Hardwick Rescue is a private, non-profit, primarily volunteer ambulance service in northern Vermont which services portions of Caledonia, Lamoille, Orleans, and Washington counties. This includes response to 9-1-1 calls in the following towns: Hardwick, Greensboro, Woodbury, Wolcott, Craftsbury, Walden, Stannard, Wheelock

The Hardwick Police Department is a Municipal Police Department providing dedicated professional Police service to the towns of Hardwick and Greensboro.
