New Composting Task Force for the Town Seeks Members

The Hardwick Select Board is now accepting letters of interest for a Composting Task Force. The Task Force will consist of 3-5 members who have a valued interest in finding solutions for the residents of Hardwick to comply with Act 148 – Universal Recycling and Compost. The task force will focus strictly on the composting aspect of the Act.

The Composting Task Force will be an advisory committee which will meet on a monthly basis. Potential examples of work include researching options, partnerships, and locations for composting at the local level. The Task Force would then report back to the Select Board with this information with the ultimate goal being to find a way for Hardwick residents to comply with the upcoming Composting requirements.

Applicants must be residents of Hardwick.

Letters may include the applicant’s background information, as well as a description of why the applicant wishes to be appointed to the Task Force.

Interested parties should submit a letter of interest or email to the Hardwick Town Manager, Shaun Fielder, at shaun.fielder@hardwickvt.gov or mail to P.O. Box 523, Hardwick VT 05843. Letters are due by Monday, April 29, 2019.  Applicants should plan to attend the Thursday, May 2, 2019 Select Board Meeting.
