Local Cannabis Control Commission (LCCC)

Seeks Members

The Hardwick Select Board is accepting letters of interest for the Local Cannabis Control Commission. This is a newly formed Commission. We are seeking 5-7 community members to make up the Commission. Terms will be for one year.

The LCCC is an advisory commission who can issue and administer local control licenses for a cannabis establishment within Hardwick. They may suspend or revoke a license for violation of any condition placed upon the license.  The LCCC will be responsible for approving or denying the applications and then notifying the State Cannabis Control Board of their decision.

Appointed members should represent a balanced cross section of community stakeholders. No more than two members of the Commission can be residents of another community, but must work in a Hardwick community sector i.e., Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Commerce. Letters should include the applicant’s background information, as well as a description of why the applicant wishes to be appointed to the Commission.

Interested parties may send a letter or email to the Hardwick Town Manager, David Upson, at david.upson@hardwickvt.gov or mail to P.O. Box 523, Hardwick VT 05843. Questions related to the work of the Commission may be directed to the Town Manager. Letters are due by Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
