Are you interested in volunteering to be a member of the Hardwick Downtown Commission?
The Hardwick Select Board has recently established a Downtown Commission of 5 to 7 members who will serve to complete the initial application for Hardwick to receive Downtown Designation from the VT Agency of Commerce & Community Development. Hardwick has had a Village Center designation since February of 2003.
The downtown designation program supports local revitalization efforts across the state by providing technical assistance and state funding to help designated municipalities build strong communities. The initial task of the members of the Downtown Commission is to complete the application. Once designation is achieved the Commissioners will be the governing body that will partner with all local and regional allies to realize the full potential of downtown Hardwick.
If you are interested in participating in the Downtown Commission please submit a letter of interest via email to the Hardwick Select Board c/o Eric Remick email@example.com on or before May 31, 2021.
Please include information about yourself and your experiences/skills that will help the commission in their efforts toward completing the application and creating a network to further support civic, cultural, social and economic activities alongside downtown revitalization.
