TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 6, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., motorists should expect lane reductions with alternating one-way traffic along U.S. Route 14 (VT 14) and Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) within the project area in Hardwick to facilitate milling operations. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.
Please note, starting next week road surface conditions will vary with segments of uneven and rough terrain. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Motorists are reminded to stay alert and slow down through the work zone.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Next week, crews will begin milling operations along VT 14 and VT 15 in Hardwick. Milling operations will take place during the nighttime hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. throughout the week. Milling operations will be completed in multiple segments.
The first segment includes VT 14 (South Main Street) between its intersection with Buffalo Street and VT 15. Crews will begin at Buffalo Street working northbound towards VT 15. The next segment includes VT 15 (Mill Street/South Main Street) between its intersection with Glenside Avenue and VT 14. Crews will begin this segment near Glenside Avenue working westbound toward VT 14. The final segment includes VT 14 (Wolcott Street) between its intersection with VT 14 and Craftsbury Road. Crews anticipate this segment to be completed over multiple days.

LOCATION: The Hardwick Class 1 VT 14/VT15 Paving Project is located on VT 14 and VT 15 in the Town of Hardwick. The project includes approximately 1.7 miles of VT 14 bounded by its intersection with Buffalo Street to the south and just northwest of its intersection with Craftsbury Road and approximately 0.3 miles of VT 15 bounded by its intersection with VT 14 extending just east of Glenside Avenue near the Inn by the River.
