Hardwick E911 Signs

The Town of Hardwick allocated $3,000 in the fiscal year 2022 budget to provide free 911 address signs to Hardwick residents. Our goal is to increase safety for everyone and reduce response time for emergency services.

Hardwick Class 1 VT 14/VT 15 Paving Project

DATE: Friday, September 23, 2022

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION:

Monday, September 26, through Friday, September 30, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., motorists should expect lane reductions with alternating one-way traffic along Vermont Route 14 (VT 14) and Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) within the project area in Hardwick.

Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.

Please note, road surface conditions will vary with segments of uneven and rough terrain. Motorists should use caution when traveling and are reminded to stay alert and slow down through the work zone.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: 

Crews will continue to pave side roads and driveways throughout the project area. This work will be completed under lane closures and is weather dependent.

LOCATION:

The Hardwick Class 1 VT 14/VT15 Paving Project is located on VT 14 and VT 15 in the Town of Hardwick. The project includes approximately 1.7 miles of VT 14 bounded by its intersection with Buffalo Street to the south and just northwest of its intersection with Craftsbury Road and approximately 0.3 miles of VT 15 bounded by its intersection with VT 14 extending just east of Glenside Avenue near the Inn by the River.

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Fall 2022

Construction Update: Hardwick Class 1 VT 14/VT 15 Paving Update

DATE: Friday, September 16, 2022

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION:

Monday, September 19, through Friday, September 23, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., motorists should expect lane reductions with alternating one-way traffic along Vermont Route 14 (VT 14) and Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) within the project area in Hardwick.

Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.

Please note, road surface conditions will vary with segments of uneven and rough terrain. Motorists should use caution when traveling and are reminded to stay alert and slow down through the work zone.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: 

Crews will continue installing permanent pavement markings throughout the project area including parking space delineation, no parking hatching, and crosswalk designations. Crews will be paving side roads and driveways starting midweek. This work is weather dependent.

All work will be completed under lane closures.

Construction Update: Hardwick Class 1 VT 14/VT 15 Paving Update 

DATE: Friday, September 9, 2022

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION:

Starting Sunday, September 11, at 6:00 p.m., through mid-week, motorists should expect lane reductions with alternating one-way traffic along Vermont Route 14 (VT 14) and Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) within the project area between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to facilitate nighttime paving and line striping operations. There is the potential to extend into Friday evening.

There is the potential for daywork to begin Thursday, September 15, at 6:00 a.m., motorists should expect lane reductions with alternating one-way traffic along Vermont Route 14 (VT 14) and Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) within the project area between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to prep driveways for paving. This work is dependent on the completion of the nighttime paving and line striping operations.

Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone.

Crews will begin sideroad paving operations on Sunday night at Holton Hill Road and continue toward Glenside Avenue. In addition, crews will begin installing permanent pavement markings throughout the area. This work will be completed at night under lane closures. This work is anticipated to be completed mid-week but is weather dependent.

Once the nighttime paving and line stripping operations are completed, there is the potential for crews to begin prepping driveways for upcoming paving operations during the daytime.

All work will be completed under lane closures.
